This workshop aims to provide attendees with comprehensive insights into the emerging areas of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) and their potential positive impacts on the practice of anatomic pathology and laboratory medicine. The workshop will cover a range of topics including AP and CP practice, logistics, management, billing, operations. An initial primer on AI will be provided.
This pre-meeting workshop offers a unique opportunity for pathologists and laboratory professionals to interactively explore the latest advancements in AI and ML, and their implications for the fields of anatomic pathology and lab medicine. Participants will leave with valuable insights and direct experiences from interactively leveraging practical AI/ML tools and technologies in simulated, web-based use-case scenarios, towards the goal of acquiring and enhancing new data sciences skills. Emphasis will be placed on activities that foster improvements in diagnostic accuracy, operational efficiency, and overall quality of patient care.
Participants are encouraged to bring a laptop/tablet to participate in hands-on activities.
