Course Objectives
Following completion of this activity, you will be able to:
  • describe the current relationship between pathology and laboratory medicine (PALM) services and noncommunicable diseases in low- and middle-income countries. 

  • describe the basic framework of the health care system as it applies to PALM services in Guatemala. 

  • describe the bidirectional educational model employed in the article and its strengths and weaknesses in sponsoring a cross-cultural collaborative exchange in pathology training.
