Course Objectives
Following completion of this activity, you will be able to:
  • List the types of error that can occur during frozen section diagnosis. 

  • Perform an institutional analysis of different types of errors associated with frozen section diagnosis, along with a root cause analysis of the causes of error. 

  • Compare rates of frozen section error to benchmarks set by the Association of Directors of Anatomic and Surgical Pathology (ADASP).
