• Outline the published standard approach reported in the College of American Pathologists (CAP) Caner Protocols and in monographs from the Association of Directors of Anatomic and Surgical Pathology (ADASP) regarding the macroscopic examination and sectioning protocol for radical cystectomy specimens not treated with neoadjuvant chemotherapy.
• Discuss current approaches to the macroscopic examination of cystectomy specimens following neoadjuvant chemotherapy (NAC) and the challenges encountered when there is no gross evidence of residual tumor.
• List histological changes that can suggest prior biopsy site changes in cystectomy specimens after NAC.
