identify cases for which prostatic stromal tumor of uncertain malignant potential (STUMP) should be considered;
discuss the important differential diagnoses for hypercellular prostate stroma, including benign prostatic hyperplasia and STUMP;
incorporate clinical, radiographic, and histologic findings to support a diagnosis of STUMP;
explain the clinical importance of STUMP regarding treatment and potential progression;
differentiate STUMP from prostatic stromal sarcoma; and
evaluate prostatic stromal lesions for prostatic stromal sarcoma and the other entities in the differential.
