identify kidney tumors meriting diagnostic workup in the spectrum of oncocytic renal tumors, using histologic and immunohistochemical adjunctive tests as necessary;
employ histologic and immunophenotypic criteria for diagnosis of chromophobe renal cell carcinoma and oncocytoma;
recognize oncocytic tumor types meriting workup for hereditary predisposition syndromes;
describe emerging low-risk tumor types in the new World Health Organization category of “other oncocytic tumors of the kidney.”
