This session from the 2021 Annual Meeting is presented by Michael Williams, MD, MSc the University of Birmingham – Alabama. Dr Williams discusses his journey as a person of color through medicine. He discusses his experiences in medical education, the microaggressions he faced along the way during his residency experience, and the supportive allies who helped build his sense of belonging. He highlights #PathTwitter as a vehicle for connection and belonging and the Diversify in Path podcast project he developed to continue the conversation.
