DMT109-24 - CME/CMLE - Navigating Molecular Neuropathology for the Practicing Surgical Pathologist
Course Description
With the latest addition of the WHO, the standard practice of surgical neuropathology requires integration of molecular results for diagnosis, grading, and therapeutics. This education session will not only address diagnostic and grading criteria of common adult and pediatric neoplasms, but will also provide a practical guide to navigating molecular considerations for the practicing general surgical pathologist, such as selecting optimal tumor blocks or slides, choosing appropriate send-out tests, managing clinician expectations, navigating molecular reports, and avoiding common pitfalls in the interpretation of molecular results.
