DMT112-25 - CME/CMLE - Current Quality and Safety Challenges for the Practicing Surgical Pathologist
Course Description
Established quality assurance measures of performance in pathology are essential to delivering high-quality clinical care while ensuring efficient use of resources. However, the current lack of standardized resources and quality management systems across institutions makes it difficult for pathologists to confidently develop and implement departmental strategies and benchmarks. Since a culture of quality and safety begins with individual pathologists and trainees, this education session is designed to educate both current and future surgical pathologists on how to design and implement effective quality management systems. Using a case-based approach, the education session will illustrate the impact of robust quality and safety workflows and offer practical strategies that can be applied in surgical pathology practices to ensure the highest standard of patient care.

This session offers 1.0 CME/CMLE credit.
