Course Description
Laboratory professionals and physicians are among the highest risk professionals for burnout. There has been numerous studies that show health care professionals burnout can be both prevented and reduced. Meditation and mindfulness is one of the sought out preventions used in the past to decrease burnout. Incorporating mindfulness in daily activities will help individual to cope better with the challenges and the stress of work and life. Utilizing meditation and breathing techniques, mindfulness and yoga practices can change our focus to the present moment to check in with our body and self, reduce anxiety and brings a sense of calm to prevent work/life burnout and will increase job satisfaction.
