DMT117-24 - CME/CMLE - Let's Play Pathology Pyramid! Exploring the Hidden Curriculum and Alternative Methods of Learning (Plus a Live Game of Pathology Pyramid!)
Course Description
Come join the session to interact, enjoy, and get inspired!
This session is comprised of two components. In the first component, we will focus on exploring the hidden curriculum:
what is the hidden curriculum, and how do we address it? The hidden curriculum involves the intangible elements that
promote success of the overt curriculum. In addition to learning and recognizing pathologic entities, understanding
how to gross, being proficient in various laboratory techniques, and the many other more definable skills, what are the other elements that help support growth and unlock opportunities to excel in other aspects of pathology, lab medicine, and in the community? Observing and asking questions can lead to the creation of various initiatives that build and strengthen the hidden curriculum. The second component is a live game of Pathology Pyramid with the audience! The premise of the game will be explained, and the audience will be invited to participate.
