Course Description
This companion session will delve into the evolving landscape of endometrial cancer diagnosis. We will explore the advancements in the field with an emphasis on biopsy interpretation, practical immunohistochemistry application, integration of molecular classification and traditional grading and staging systems as recommended by the WHO and FIGO. We will discuss the crucial role of endometrial biopsy in initial diagnosis and the challenges in accurately identifying high-grade and non-endometrioid subtypes. The lecture will also cover the approach to the hysterectomy specimen with an emphasis on grossing, reporting and staging.
