DMT130-25 - CME/CMLE - Spindle Cell Lesions of the Urinary Tract: The High Stakes Between Benign, Malignant, and Unknown

Course Description

Spindle cell / mesenchymal tumors of the urinary tract can have major implications. Whereas sarcomatoid urothelial carcinoma would often necessitate radical therapy (adjuvant or neoadjuvant chemotherapy, radical cystectomy), some lesions that mimic carcinoma are benign or likely benign (particularly myofibroblastic proliferations, which can have worrisome features like mitotic activity and immunohistochemical positivity for keratin. This education session will address these topics and more.
