DMT131-25 - CME/CMLE - American Society of Cytopathology (ASC) Companion Society Session: Telecytology: Tips and Tricks for Cytologists
Course Description
Due to time, distance, and staffing constraints many institutions are interested in implementing telecytology for ROSE (rapid onsite evaluation) and FNA procedures. There has been so much interest that the American Society for Cytopathology (ASC) recently released best practices guidelines for telecytology. Cytologists are often involved in the implementation and validation of new systems. They also are the prime users, as they are present onsite and are transmitting images to the cytopathologist for review. In this education session, cytologists who are active users of telecytology will share their experiences and help to educate cytologists (and cytopathologist) to avoid pitfalls. This ASC companion session is designed to help cytologists understand the factors involved in implementing telecytology as well as utilize the presenter’s real world experience in the use of telecytology.

This session offers 1.0 CME/CMLE credit.
