DMT154-24 - CME/CMLE - The Value of ASCP BOC Credentialing: A Global Perspective
Course Description

In this presentation, Matt Schulze will highlight ASCP Advocacy initiatives focused on immigration issues that positively impact the laboratory workforce. ASCP BOC Volunteer Advisory Board Leaders - representing the Caribbean, Middle East, and the Philippines – will discuss the state of laboratory medicine in their regions along with the positive impacts of BOC credentialing on a global scale.

The ASCP BOC, established in 1928, has been pivotal in setting the highest standards of competency, skill, and professionalism in laboratory medicine and pathology practices. With over 625,000 credentials attained by laboratory professionals from 117 countries, the ASCP BOC’s credentials have a significant global presence.

This presentation will demonstrate how the ASCP BOC credentials enhance job prospects, professional growth, and career satisfaction for laboratory professionals. Presenters will share key insights, challenges, and solutions in promoting a culture of competency assured through ASCP BOC credentialing and participation in the Credential Maintenance Program (CMP), which ensures continuous professional development and relevant expertise in the field.
