EDUTLKEM2404 - CME/CMLE - Educator’s Toolkit Virtual Workshop Series: Brave Spaces & Charged Topics .
Course Description

This CME/CMLE credit-bearing virtual workshop, a 60-minute live webinar with on-demand recording, was developed by and specifically for Pathologists and Laboratory Professionals in their role of educating others, by providing practical tips and useful information that you can immediately apply to take your presentations and teaching to the next level.

These workshops have been developed for all experience levels, with a focus on actionable tools and strategies that you can easily integrate into your teaching.  Two experts will walk you through best practices in leveling up your educator skill set by creating a brave space to support the learning culture and challenging conversations.

Conversations surrounding topics commonly deemed "difficult" and “uncomfortable” are often avoided or not supported. However, creating a culture where people feel encouraged to share their thoughts and lived experiences is vital for employee satisfaction, increased productivity, and an overall positive work environment. In this workshop, we will discuss how to create a brave space versus a safe space in academic and professional settings. We will cover the six pillars of creating a brave space and the positive outcomes for students and employees alike when environments respect and adopt these values.

The activity offers 1.0 CME/CMLE credit.

The on-demand webinar will be available by March 6, 2025
