LAM1601 - CME/CMLE - Communication Strategies for Leaders Who Listen
Course Description

As the world continues to evolve, the importance of how we communicate and listen becomes even more important. In this course, participants learn about the essential communication skills that leaders and professional need in order to communicate effectively in diverse workplaces. Listening is the core of effective communication and it is an essential skill as it builds relationships, problem-solving, conflict resolution, and collaboration. 

This course focuses on communication principles through discussing different listening modes and approaches, barriers to listening and how to mitigate them, and core communications principles. 

Participants will also gain knowledge on how to properly use and understand tone, body language, and verbal input in order to decode intended message across a variety of scenarios and contexts. By creating awareness of our individual listening styles and barriers we face, participants are able to apply strategies presented in this course to become leaders who listen, learn, and grow both personally and within their organizations and teams.
