LAM1605 - CME/CMLE - DeCoding American Generations
Course Description

Each generation has unique qualities that can be leveraged both collectively and independently to achieve productive and innovative collaborations. This course focuses on increasing awareness of the values, attitudes, behaviors, and characteristics of the current generations. People within these generations are actively contributing to today’s workforce and it is important to understand and appreciate generational strengths and differences. Participants learn about the importance of generational diversity and inclusion within the workplace and learn about best practices on how to reap the full benefits that are created through intergenerational collaborations.

This course discusses historical events that have shaped people and have contributed to their held values, behaviors, and characteristics that we often encounter in our interactions with them. Participants learn how to better manage conflict and working relationships across generations. Through understanding generation-specific challenges in the workforce, this course provides methods to mitigate these challenges to empower participants in creating intergenerational synergy within their teams, departments, and organizations.
