Change is an inevitable process that organizations go through to stay competitive in their industries, foster innovation, and improve their processes in order to deliver quality work and services. There are many positive outcomes as a result of implementing change, however it can be difficult to lead. This course helps participants understand the many forms of change that are implemented in organizations and the key characteristics associated with change. Participants will learn about how others react to change and be able to better understand their own reactions when faced with change. This course discusses the process creating change in an organization, including various data collection methods, best practices of planning for change, managing resistance, writing a change plan, and change evaluation methods.
This course will also discuss several change models that will help guide participants in different approaches to apply when planning a change implementation. This course provides real-life application examples throughout the different phases of change that will help participants visualize when different methods are appropriate and effective to use. Participants will also be challenged to self-reflect on how they currently view, manage, and feel about change to increase their self-awareness about how they perceive change and to help others who are experiencing organizational transitions. Having the ability to lead and communicate about change effectively is a critical leadership skill that participants will take away from this course.
