A deep dive look at the history of digital pathology and how whole slide imaging (WSI) is becoming our future. In the US some major academic medical centers have started to implement WSI to complement their workflows but it is not used universally for primary diagnosis yet. Is now the right time for labs to adopt? What are the pitfalls of adoption now? What are the positives of adoption now? This course will cover the history of digital pathology, what should be considered when setting up a WSI platform, what some use cases might be and what is necessary for validating the system.
