LPR110-25 - CME/CMLE - Monocyte Distribution Width (MDW) Implications and Ongoing New Onset Sepsis Research in Intensive Care Units
Course Description
Historical applications of MDW involve Emergency Room sepsis management. However, in recent years, attention has turned to MDW as a new onset sepsis marker in intensive care units. The proprietary nature of MDW is often a barrier to widespread adoption in clinical Hematology departments. Thus, alternative measures of sepsis do exist in the market. In this presentation, the emergence of MDW as an option within high acuity care settings, testing and platform standardization options, new sepsis markers, and practical tips for Hematology leadership will be discussed.

This session offers 1.0 CME/CMLE credits.
