explain the inheritance pattern of Lynch syndrome and the likelihood of passing from one generation to the next;
differentiate the proteins involved in the mismatch repair system based on their roles in the process;
illustrate the expected results of a microsatellite stable (MSI-S) and a MSI-high (MSI-H) capillary electrophoresis run;
discuss the correlation of MSI/immunohistochemistry (IHC) results with those genes for Lynch syndrome detected via next-generation sequencing; and
describe the clinical utility of IHC and MSI test results even if the patient does not have Lynch syndrome.
