Course Objectives
Following completion of this activity, you will be able to:
  • explain the biological pathway that leads to blood group production;  

  • evaluate Punnett squares to determine ABO inheritance possibilities; 

  • discuss reasons for ABO mismatches between parents and their progeny; and 

  • select the correct follow-up procedures necessary to rule out specific causes of ABO mismatches.
