Course Objectives
Following completion of this activity, you will be able to:
  • discuss the role of adrenal autoantibodies in establishing an autoimmune etiology in Addison disease;

  • differentiate primary adrenal insufficiency from secondary adrenal insufficiency based on laboratory findings;

  • apply quality control and assurance measures in the context of diagnosing adrenal insufficiency; and

  • interpret laboratory data and choose the set of values consistent toward a diagnose of Addison disease.
