Course Objectives
Following completion of this activity, you will be able to:

  • define Immune Hyperbilirubinemia, Hemolytic Disease of the Fetus and Newborn (HDFN), exchange transfusion, and reconstituted whole blood; 

  • identify the clinical indications for performing an exchange transfusion in neonates; 

  • recommend blood products for an exchange transfusion; and
