Course Objectives
Following completion of this activity, you will be able to

  • describe the morphologic characteristics of Hairy cell leukemia (HCL) cells in peripheral blood smear; 

  • list the systemic symptoms and laboratory results associated with HCL; 

  • state the immunophenotypic and molecular characteristics of HCL; 

  • assess/evaluate the prognosis of HCL; and 

  • identify the importance of treatment related markers in HCL.
