Course Objectives
Following completion of this activity, you will be able to:

  • describe the interdependence of digital pathology workflows, whole slide imaging (WSI), and their integration with Laboratory Information Systems (LIS) in an anatomic pathology laboratory; 

  • appraise the factors which impact the quality of digital slides and their clinical interpretation and reporting; and 

  • analyze the crucial importance of a quality management system in a digital pathology operation.
