As more patient-centered care comes to the forefront of laboratory medicine and pathology, I will share real-world examples of times when my expertise was utilized in addressing specific diagnostic information to patients directly as part of the Cures Act and examples of pieces I've written/edited as part of the ABC News Medical Unit. Participants will edit these with me in real time and/or discuss the intricacies of communicating medical information to patients and the public whether it is for patient care, political advocacy, or education.Faculty/Authors
