Course Description

This course explores the various roles, responsibilities and expectations of Laboratory Medical Directors. You will learn what knowledge and skills are essential to be successful at leading and managing laboratory strategies, processes and teams. The course concludes with a self-assessment of your current laboratory management skills. Certificate candidates are requested to have a discussion regarding the results of the laboratory management self-assessment with their supervisor. (Optional for Laboratory Professionals.

Physician Competencies: Medical Knowledge 

Eligibility for CME/CMLE Credit: Max three attempts. You will have a maximum of three attempts to meet the following criteria:

  • Module ≥80% = CME/CMLE credit
  • Module <80% = No CME/CMLE credit, after a maximum of three attempts
