Course Description

This course focuses on the roles and responsibilities of a clinical laboratory leader who is new to the manager/supervisory positions.  This includes expectations of leadership, managing the customer service process, and ways to systematically manage your team to achieve organizational and laboratory goals.  You will also learn problem-solving skills essential for managing staff and operations.    The course concludes with a self-assessment of your current laboratory management skills.  Certificate candidates are requested to have a discussion regarding the results of the laboratory management self-assessment with their supervisor. (Optional for Pathologist/Residents)
