WMLM1501 - CME/CMLE - LMU 30 (Fundamentals) Personnel - What Works In the Real World!
Course Description

Are you preparing yourself to lead your lab? Are you worried about the impending shortage of qualified laboratory personnel? Do you want to be a more effective manager/supervisor? If you answer yes to any of these questions, this session is designed specifically for you. Leaving management theory behind, and stepping into the “real world”, we will use an interactive case study approach to tackle and solve common and perplexing personnel issues. The team approach will be used, so make sure you bring your good ideas! Specific case studies will include problem employees, hiring new employees, motivating employees, tricky human resource issues, workload distributions, succession planning, and performance appraisals.
